From Taunton/M5 go to junction (J26) Wellington and follow signs off motorway towards Wellington until you get to a roundabout. Take A38 Exeter (ie left) and continue on A38 at next roundabout. After a mile or so you pass the Beambridge Hotel on your left and start climbing a hill. Get in the right hand lane at the top of the hill to take the right turn towards Holcombe Rogus and Ashbrittle. Follow this road towards Ashbrittle - you come into Tracebridge and see the Tracebridge sign on the left.
Rose Cottage is the first drive on the right - you will see the Rose Cottage sign on the gate. Hesperus Cottage (B&B) is opposite. For parking - park in the quarry gate entrance (pull-in in front of closed gate) on your right just before Rose Cottage - or if the field gate opposite is open (look for the caravan) park in there.
From the South - take M5 J27 and leave the roundabout at the 3rd exit
signed Wellington A38. Follow this road for about 4 miles. On one of the
sections of dual carriage way you take a left turn to Appley (small sign
-look out) If you miss this turn take the next left - it joins
the same road) then left at the end at this small section of lane which
is one way. Follow this road straight to Tracebridge - Rose Cottage
is the first drive on the right - you will see the Rose Cottage sign
on the gate. Hesperus Cottage (B&B) is opposite.
